Requirements for DNI Enrollment
Requirements for citizens over 21 years old
You may present any of the following documents:
- Identity card
- Current passport
- Birth certificate
If you are applying for the DNI for the first time:
- The citizen must be accompanied by two family witnesses within the fourth degree of consanguinity who have a photographic record in the RNP system. These witnesses must carry a DNI, identity card, or current passport.
Requirements for citizens between 18 and 20 years old
- Birth certificate.
- The applicant must be accompanied by one of their parents who can attest that they are their child and serve as the sole witness, and this parent must have a photographic record in the RNP system of Honduras.
- If the applicant does not appear with one of their parents, they must be accompanied by two family witnesses within the fourth degree of consanguinity who have a photographic record in the RNP system. These witnesses must carry a DNI, identity card, or current passport.
Requirements to obtain the Power of Attorney at the General Consulate of Honduras in Valencia
- Form that needs to be completed for the procedure.
- Valid Honduran identification or current Honduran passport of the grantor of the Power of Attorney (original and one additional copy).
- Name of the banking entity, cooperative, or social security organization where the document will be presented.
- Identifier of the bank account.
- Proof of the payment transaction (cost of 50.00 US dollars).
- Printed confirmation of the scheduled appointment.
Note
If your intentions are to buy, sell, manage divorce processes, matters in court, or allow someone to act on your behalf, you must schedule an appointment for a notarial power, which can be a Special or General Power of Attorney.
